CNC Manufacturing Engineer

Develop and design finished metal molds, fixtures, and gauges, including programming 3D components utilizing Master Cam machining software. Interpret and employ drawings, specifications, 3D models and files. Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators and scales. Develop workflow and machining strategies from supplied information to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements. Carry out CNC machining, utilizing lathes and mills. Develop and design machine programs and produce machined parts from developed strategies and programs. Responsible for the design and fabrication of components that support production needs, including internal execution projects and coordination of external vendors as needs arise. Responsible for coordinating workflow for the machining group. Requires up to 5% travel to our facility in Sparta, GA.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Requirements: Must have: 24 months of experience working as an engineer in a manufacturing setting; 24 months of engineering experience operating CNC lathes; 12 months of experience operating mills in the manufacturing of alloys and steel components; 24 months of experience with 4- and 5-axis CNC Mills and CNC Lathes (C-Axis/Live tooling, Y-Axis); 12 months of experience programming 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with live tooling (such as Mazak, Makino, DMG, or Doosan); 12 months of experience with CAM 2D and 3D software programming (Such as MasterCAM, NX, or CATIA V5); and 12 months of experience reading, interpreting and manually editing ISO/G-Code programs.
Salary: $77,917 per year
