Diana, Verescence North America (Covington, USA)
AN EXAMPLE OF FEMININE LEADERSHIP AND GEOGRAPHIC MOBILITY
« When I joined Verescence Brazil in 2016 (a subsidiary sold in 2017) as Regional Purchasing Manager, I never thought I could be embarking on an international career so fast. What an incredible experience to be part of a company in transformation, that offers professional enrichment in terms of possibilities, challenges and development. My transfer, to fill out a vacant post in Covington, one of the Verescence facilities in the United States, allowed me to continue to learn and offered me a major turning point in my career and in my life.
Verescence for me represents stimulation and innovation. Its core business, luxury perfumery, means constantly innovating.
Our scope of action is certainly international, the challenges of this job are the same, regardless of where it’s done: our main responsibility as purchasers is to make sure we are buying the best materials and services, at best cost, in compliance with the regulations in force, taking into account the total cost of ownership, aligned with the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) approach that characterizes us and makes part of our DNA. It’s a job that requires strong negotiations, whether internally or externally, accountability and language skills, two days never are the same! Verescence for me represents stimulation and innovation. Its core business, luxury perfumery, means constantly innovating.
My career path at Verescence has exceeded all my expectations. In 2019, my job responsibilities have significantly increased and I’m very proud to be the first woman in this position to be part of the North American management committee. In the US operation, I have the opportunity to work with Americans, Mexicans, Brazilians, French, Jamaicans, people around all the world, which provides a real source of professional and personal development. »
